Online Admissions
Application deadlines
For most programs, a completed application and all supporting materials must be received by:
- August 1 for programs beginning in the fall
- December 15 for programs beginning in the spring
Deadline exceptions:
Teacher certification and internship programs:
- June 15 for the fall semester
- November 15 for the spring semester
Counseling MS and Educational Leadership Ed.D.:
- May 1 for priority consideration, August 1 (final deadline) for the fall semester
- October 1 for priority consideration, December 15 (final deadline) for the spring semester
Early applications are strongly encouraged as program space is limited.
Undergraduate/first-year
First-year applicants should submit the following:
- An Application for Admission through our online application portal or through the Common Application
- An official copy of all high school transcripts
- Test optional*
- Two Letters of Recommendation
- Dental Hygiene applicants: letters, preferably at least one from a math or science teacher, are highly encouraged, but not required.
- All other applicants: letters are encouraged, but not required.
- Personal Statement (Highly encouraged, but not required.)
- The application fee will be waived for all students (graduate and undergraduate)
* SAT or ACT scores are optional except for a few specialized programs. Ask your counselor for more information.
Complete your application and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) before January 1 of your senior year to receive priority consideration for financial aid.
Transfer Applicants
Transfer applicants should submit the following:
- An Application for Admission. The University accepts both paper and electronic applications, as well as the Common Application.
- Official college transcript(s) from all previous institutions of higher education attended.
- Proof of high school graduation (official high school transcript or copy of high school diploma).
- Not required for RN to BSN and BSN to MSN online applicants.
- Two letters of recommendation
- Not required for all programs; see program-specific requirements for details.
- Personal Statement
- Not required for all programs; see program-specific requirements for details.
- The application fee will be waived for all students (graduate and undergraduate).
